Scared on the Climbing pole by James (Personal Recount)

I was not scared I started then it dawned in on me I was scared of heights!!! I climbed a little higher. My head was pounding with thoughts is he going to drop me? Will I be okay? I couldn’t move I couldn’t find anymore grips that I could hold onto. I was sweating all over I want to come down I thought. Our instructor was shouting don’t give up you can do it” finally I found a grip. I was flying I was almost at the top when a thought struck me don’t look down. I was now rooted to the spot I want to come down I shouted but the “instructor but the instructor encouraged me I reached the top I had conquered the climbing pole.

James, you have used some great vocabulary like 'pounding', 'rooted' and 'conquered'. You really show how scared you are by describing your feelings.
How about explaining exactly where you were and what you were doing so that someone who wasn't there really understands what's going on. Awesome effort.
